Hands On-Learning
Inspired by real film and TV industry practices, you will crew on your classmates’ films and form your own tight-knit creative teams. You’ll learn how to give and receive constructive feedback and bring your ambitious and innovative ideas to life. During your first year, you’ll create three to five short narrative or documentary films.
Pro Tools
Premier state-of-the-art equipment and technology are available to students in both our Playa Vista and Westchester campuses. You’ll have access to production stages and prop/set design shops, advanced camera packaging and lighting gear, tapeless workflows with server-based port-production, and even 35mm film if you want to explore the foundations of cinema.
Industry Access
Our acclaimed faculty and staff aren’t just professors; they’re industry insiders. From helping you land internships to introducing you to managers and agents, to advising you on entering film festivals, they’ll open doors to exciting creative opportunities. You’ll attend industry meet-and-greets, panels, and pitch events that give you direct access to the people shaping the future of film and television.
